Read all about it. Brooks Running Company just released a newspaper-inspired sneaker for the Big Apple.
The Gray Lady, as it’s called, is a limited edition version of Brooks’ popular Adrenaline GTS 17, drawing inspiration from New York City and its newspapers.
The upper of the limited edition shoe is covered in black serif font that looks like newspaper articles and with text that references the boroughs of New York. Additionally, the insole of the shoe has a Brooks and New York-themed crossword with “run happy” written in red as an across answer.
“For our third New York-inspired shoe, we wanted to meld the iconic status of New York news culture with the unique boroughs that make running in this world-class city so powerful,” said Brooks Global Director Shane Downey. “The Gray Lady Adrenaline GTS 17 captures the energy that defines the city, people and race course of New York.”
Much like the standard Adrenaline GTS, this limited edition running shoe will feature the same running and comfort technology Brooks fans have come to expect, including soft cushioning with Brooks’ ‘DNA midsole’, which dynamically adapts to support the wearer as they’re in motion.
The Brooks Gray Lady Adrenaline GTS 17 will be available at specialty running stores in New York and online.
