Carlos by Carlos Santana launched a Kickstarter campaign Tuesday to raise a total of $40,000 to help bring their men’s line of shoes to life.
The Carlos Santana Shoes For Men collection offers full-grain leather and calf suede shoes with a leather-lined cushion insole that absorbs moisture and further allows breathability. Styles include double and single monk loafers, cap-toe oxfords, chukka boots, Chelsea boots, penny loafers and more.
The brand touts that the handcrafted shoes can last nearly 20 years if taken care of properly.
“Carlos Santana Shoes For Men are made according to the principles of traditional craftsmanship and flavored with the rock and roll style of Carlos Santana himself,” said project coordinator Scott Boyarsky. “In collaboration with world renown legend and artist Carlos Santana, we created a line of classic handmade shoes with the quality and workmanship that embodies the name Carlos Santana.”
Early adopters can purchase from the Blake Collection on Kickstarter for $125, which is almost 45 percent less than the market retail value. The Goodyear Collection will also be available for $175, which will save backers over 40 percent.
The musician-turned-shoes designer debuted his successful women’s collection Carlos by Carlos Santana in 2001.
