Cambridge Mass.-based sneaker boutique Concepts, currently celebrating its 20th anniversary with the release of several limited edition collaborations, has also announced that it will be the first retailer to debut a new sneaker by Japanese sportswear brand Asics and waterproof fabric company Gore-Tex.
The Asics Gel Lyte V x Gore-Tex “Ice” goes beyond being merely a running shoe, incorporating waterproof technology from Gore-Tex to keep wearers dry in all conditions. The shoe’s urethane lining protects the foot from water while a neoprene sock liner provides additional ankle insulation. The black and charcoal base of the shoe is complemented by red and “Heritage Blue” accents.
Concepts has announced the “Ice” will be available starting Feb. 26 in-store and online for a price of $150.
