Convicted Felons’ Designer Shoe Collection Up for Auction

The felony conviction of a California couple with expensive tastes will result in an auction of more than 300 pieces of luxury apparel and accessories, including 100 pairs of shoes by lust-worthy designers.

Michael Petronella and his wife Devon Kile, owners of a roofing and general contracting business, were convicted of more than 100 felony counts of insurance fraud, tax charges and aggravated white collar crime in connection with a $38 million worker’s comp insurance scam. Petronella was sentenced to 10 years in jail and ordered to pay more than $1 million in restitution and fines, while his wife was sentenced to 10 years of probation and ordered to pay nearly $3 million in restitution and fines.

To pay off their debt, Tranzon Asset Strategies and Tiger Capital Group’s Remarketing Services Division are holding a live webcast auction beginning Oct. 8 for more than 300 pieces of high-end jewelry, shoes, handbags and clothing, as well as a luxury sports car and pickup truck.

They will auction approximately 100 pairs of shoes, some still in boxes with tags, in sizes 37 and 38. Styles include YSL black patent leather peep-toe pumps, Stella McCartney platform booties, Prada bronze flat boots and Manolo Blahnik studded lace-up boots. Over 50 pieces of jewelry from brands like Harry Winston and Dior will be available, along with apparel from designers including Versace, Stella McCartney, Missoni and DVF.

Tranzon Vice President Tiffeny Cook said, “This sale represents a tremendous opportunity for fashionistas and others interested in high-end jewelry, designer handbags and shoes, and vintage fashion.”
