Dick’s Sporting Goods Appoints New Vice President

Dick’s Sporting Goods announced Tuesday that Lee J. Belitsky would serve as the company’s new executive vice president and chief financial officer effective immediately.

As vice president, Belitsky will oversee all finance-related matters for Dick’s, and will also lead the company’s merchandise planning, allocation and replenishment.

Joining Dicks in 1997, Belitsky has held a number of leadership positions for the sportswear company including vice president of store operations, vice president of distribution and transportation, and treasurer in 2005.

“I am delighted to announce Lee’s appointment to Chief Financial Officer,” said Dick’s CEO Edward W. Stack. “Lee’s strong financial acumen and extensive leadership experience across finance, strategy and operations will be instrumental to the continued growth and success of the company.”

Joseph Oliver, who has served as Dick’s senior vice president and chief accounting officer before Belitsky will now serve as the company’s senior vice president for merchandise planning, allocation and replenishment, and will report to Belitsky.
