DSW Taps Nordstrom Alum for COO Role

DSW is injecting newness in its executive team. The footwear retailer announced Thursday the appointment of Michele Love as executive vice president and chief operating officer for DSW.

Love brings over 32 years of experience in operations, merchandising and marketing at Nordstrom Inc., where she most recently spearheaded the rapid expansion of Nordstrom Rack.

In her new role, Love will oversee all aspects of customer engagement and messaging across all touch points. Additionally, she will be responsible for delivering DSW’s warehouse experience in over 500 stores nationwide.

DSW also announced two key hires to its merchandising team. The company named James Weinberg GMM of women’s footwear and Nancy Pastor as GMM of accessories. Weinberg joined DSW two years ago in commercial operation roles. Pastor comes on board from from Macy’s, where she was group vice president for jewelry, handbags and dress accessories.

“I am excited to have Michele, Jim and Nancy on the Designer Shoe Warehouse team. These three individuals bring valuable leadership and diverse expertise as we strengthen our focus on the customer, product, and experience,” said DSW CEO Roger Rawlins. “We are building an elite team to lead Designer Shoe Warehouse and position it for continued long term growth.”
