DSW has appointed Joanne Zaiac as a new independent director to their board of directors on Friday. She will help serve DSW’s compensation and technology committees.
Zaiac current serves as COO for DigitasLBi North America, a global digital advertising agency, where she has worked since 1999. Before her position at DigitasLBi, Zaiaic spent 14 years working with Wunderman Worldwide/Young & Rubicam as executive vice president and senior vice president. Zaiaic also serves on the boards of Cartera Commerce and Junior Achievement New York.
“Joanne brings a depth of brand-building and marketing expertise to DSW. We welcome her to DSW’s Board of Directors and look forward to the contributions she is certain to make towards our strategic growth initiatives,” says Chairman of the DSW board Jay Schottenstein.
Zaiac will stand for election at DSW’s next annual shareholders meeting in 2017. If confirmed, her term will expire after one year at the 2018 annual shareholders meeting.
