Thierry Rabotin takes color blocking to a new level for Fall ’17 with a collection that could have come straight out of a vintage Vogue editorial, or the closet of Solange.
The “Made in Italy” brand presented an art-driven Thierry Rabotin Couture Collection at FN PLATFORM, combining sculptural heels, geometric shapes and intense color to create shoes that looked unlike anything else on the show floor.
The line pairs iconic Mod motifs like dots and swirls, with contemporary metal heels, both block and spike. Silhouettes span Mary Janes, pumps, booties, and tall boots. Styles are made with feather-light leathers, intensely colored calf leathers, bright chamois with sequins and elastic veil-thin nets.
The Couture line complements Thierry Rabotin’s new TR1 Line, which also plays with saturated colors and geometric lines. New metal sprayed age crocodile printed leathers add a unique texture. The brand’s core line of classics focuses on warmth by utilizing warm, light and elastic felt for uppers.
