Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse is cooking up something special with Jack Schwartz Shoes Inc. (JSSI) for restaurant professionals.
Lagasse teamed up with footwear company to create a line of slip-resistant footwear designed to prevent dangerous spills in the kitchen. The shoes feature memory foam insoles for comfort, and antimicrobial and water-repellant properties to extend the longevity of the footwear. The collection will be available at Shoe Carnival beginning Nov. 1.
“The restaurant shoe industry has long been known for its limited offerings and unimaginative design. We’ve worked closely with Emeril, an expert on the rigors of restaurant work from the kitchen to the host stand, to create a range of shoes that offer comfort, durability and style,”
stated JSSI President David Schwartz.
Lagasse, the founder of 12 restaurants and star of television shows, Emeril Live and Top Chef, considered his 20-plus years of restaurant experience in the development of the collection.
He said, “I wanted to create a reasonably priced, better looking and higher quality line of shoes that are comfortable and attractive. By partnering with JSSI, we were able to design a line of shoes that will keep your feet happy all day, in and out of the kitchen.”
