Emilio Pucci sees the world in color. The Italian design house, best known for its abstract prints and bold color palettes, bowed a limited-edition collection of sneakers inspired by major world cities.
The “Sneakers of the World” collection includes 11 women’s sneakers based on cities: Milan, Miami, Seoul, Florence, Rome, Paris, London, Dubai, Moscow, Hong Kong and New York.
Each sneaker, made with an elastic upper, is styled using a unique color combination inspired by the destination. The New York sneakers’ yellow, cobalt blue and magenta upper captures the city’s vibrancy, while the Paris shoe’ pastel colorway is a homage to the metropolis’ gardens, architecture and sweets.
Each city’s name is embroidered on the heel of each sneaker. Sneakers will retail for around $500 in Emilio Pucci stores in the featured cities and online.
City-themed footwear is becoming a summer trend. Irregular Choice recently launched a collection inspired by U.S. cities.
