FFANY welcomes 56 new exhibitors and brands, including Flogg, Plae and William Rast to the Hilton New York, as well Diane von Furstenberg, Alice and Olivia and Marion Parke, which will be presenting their Spring ’16 collections in showrooms across New York City June 2-4.
Just like consumers, buyers want more and FFANY is stepping up to the plate with a full schedule of events, networking opportunities and seminars.
The show kicks off at the Hilton New York with a retailer breakfast before the show opens on June 2. Attendees will get the scoop on the spring trends to watch, according to Footwear News fashion director Mosha Lundstrom Halbert. Post-show, retailers and exhibitors can mingle at the FFANY Industry Event at Brasserie 8 ½, benefiting Shoes That Fit, a nonprofit that provides proper-fitting footwear for children. At the party, FFANY will present the Joseph C. Moore Scholarship Award to one F.I.T. student to attend the Ars Sutoria School in Milan.
Attendees can catch some R&R at the show’s new Discovery Lounge located on the second floor of the Hilton. The area will spotlight industry organizations and resources including Two Ten, FDRA, NSRA, The NPD Group, FFANY Shoes on Sale, as well as Vamp. Oasis Day Spa will be on hand to offer massages and foot care. The NPD Group will be available to answer questions about the footwear industry.
The Discovery Lounge will also host a series of seminars in conjunction with The NPD Group. On June 3, Marshal Cohen, Chief Industry Analyst, The NPD Group, will share tips to grow business and will be available to answer questions. On June 4, The NPD Group’s Checkout Tracking Online Director Brittney Flynn will be on hand to help retailer navigate the ever-changing world of e-commerce.
