Fast Company debuted its list of The World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2017, featuring footwear giants like Cole Haan, Adidas, Coach and Gucci.
Retailers TJ Maxx and Amazon also made the cut.
Cole Haan made its way into the top 10 for style, receiving attention “for fusing dress shoes with the comfort of a sneaker,” after the release of its Zerogrand Stitchlite Thursday.
“To earn the position as a Most Innovative Company and to be surrounded by such incredible talent is an honor,” said Cole Haan CEO Jack Boys. “We’re so proud of our team’s accomplishments and their tireless efforts to continue to bring a constantly evolving roster of innovative and stylish lifestyle collections to our customer.”
Adidas also made the top 10 within the subcategory of style for its strides in athleisure. Luxury brands Coach and Gucci also topped the style list.
“Each year, our reporting team scours the globe to identify organizations that have been both innovative and impactful in their industry, the business world, and the larger culture,” says Robert Safian, Editor and Managing Director of Fast Company, in a letter sent to Cole Haan. “At a time marked by political and economic uncertainty, your ability to rise to the top of your field is especially meaningful and inspiring.”
