Vibram FiveFingers toed its way into the designer spotlight at New York Fashion Week.
The brand’s distinct footwear found their way onto the catwalk, as a part of the ThreeAsFour’s show on Wednesday. ThreeAsFour modified the running shoes for the runway, adding ankle ties, decorative straps and prints.
Founded by Gabriel Asfour, Angela Donhauser and Adi Gil in 2005, ThreeAsFour’s unique designs made a splash during New York Fashion Week, creating even more buzz once attendees recognized the FiveFingers shoes.
The decidedly feminine collection by ThreeAsFour paired with the athletic nature of the FiveFinger shoes, made for an interesting juxtaposition and a nice detour from the other athletic footwear shows during New York Fashion Week.
The classic FiveFingers designs typically cost around $100 and are available in stores and online.
