Footwear Designer Pedro Garcia Passes Away

Pedro Garcia, the name behind the eponymous high-end Spanish shoe brand, passed away last Thursday. He was 81.

A service was held for Garcia on Friday at the Church of Santa Anna in Barcelona. No cause of death was announced.

Garcia served as head of his namesake label for 22 years, helping the brand achieve worldwide success after being passed down the business from his father, also named Pedro.

The 91 year old brand is now headed by Garcia’s children, including his daughter Mila, who serves as CEO, and his son, also named Pedro, who is creative director.
