Over 740 shoe brands will reveal the look and feel of their Spring ’17 collections at GDS July 26-28 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
For the first time, the show will take place from Tuesday to Thursday. Concurrently, 170 exhibitors will be on display at Tag It!—The Private Label Show. Combined, the three-day event will advise retailers on the latest directions in fashion, comfort, retail and sustainability.
“It is about variety—retail needs impulses through new brands but also via established exhibitors. They have to face challenging issues like sustainability, customer service, social media and future trends. Which is why these are exactly the themes we reflect and why we provide know-how and look to inspiration,” said Kirstin Deutelmoser, GDS and Tag It! director.
New brands include: Schoshoes, Ernesto Dolani, Andia Fora, Reptile’s House, Dabliu, Giulia Taddeucci, Ducanero from Italy; Spanish flip-flop label Indaiá; Portuguese brands Hombra and Ell and more.
Along with daily runway shows presenting head-to-toe looks, visitors will have access to trend installations across the show, serving as a blueprint for the season and for visual merchandising. Experts will also discuss trends during Trend Talks with footwear and fashion experts.
The show will host its first “Green Shoes for a Sustainable Life” workshop organized by the European Confederation of the Footwear Industry (CEC) to better enable brands and retailers to make more sustainable choices.
