GDS Welcomes New International Labels

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

Global Designation for Shoes & Accessories (GDS) readies for the July 29-31 show in in Dusseldorf, Germany, placing an emphasis on new international exhibitors.

Among the first time exhibitors at GDS will be Italy’s handbag label Aurora Prestige, men’s brand I Maschi Gold, German brand Brax, Dutch label Van Lier and a crop of children’s companies including Lurchi, Lamborghini and Balducci from Italy, Brazil’s Kea, and Red Rag Develab from the Netherlands.

Other highlights include a fleet of designers from Poland who were selected in cooperation with the fashion trade fair Hush Warsaw, as well as the return of APICCAP, which will present a selection of young, up-and-coming designers from Portugal as part of its “Portuguese Young Talents” program.

Attendees will get a first look at these brands’ Spring ’16 collections in expanded concept areas, trend zone and along the Highlight Route through three “lifestyle worlds” that spotlights new products, innovations and runway shows.
