Olympic gold medalist, heavyweight boxing champion, author and celebrity entrepreneur George Foreman has launched the George Foreman Collection by Footworks, a collection of comfort footwear in collaboration with the online retailer FootSmart.com.
“We are excited to work with the legendary athlete George Foreman on this collaboration to offer the key 40-plus demographic a walking-shoe collection unlike any other on the market,” said Lee Cox, FootSmart.com president.
The entire collection of men’s and women’s athletic and casual shoes features lightweight technology and SMARTsystem, a patented midsole that was designed by researchers at Stanford University to reduce knee stress and knee pain and slow down the onset of the degenerate joint disease, osteoarthritis. The line, heralded as a walking-shoe collection, promises to encourage mobility by providing comfort and relieving pain.
“A doctor told me that the key to staying active is to keep moving. And my footwear collection features styles you can wear all day, every day,” said Foreman. “Millions of Americans are affected by arthritis, and if you’re over 40 or have knee pain like I did, then these shoes are for you.”
The George Foreman Collection by Footworks range in prices from $90 to $115, and is available exclusively online.
