Gucci Launches Exclusive Footwear with Mr Porter

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

What do you get when you cross British tailoring with Italian romanticism in menswear? A 43-piece capsule collection designed by Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele for online luxury retailer Mr Porter.

On May 18, Gucci will debut an exclusive collection of ready to wear, footwear and accessories on mrporter.com, offering traditional tailored silhouettes with zesty pops of orange, blue, yellow and red. Key items include a pair of horsebit loafers in a GG wallpaper print in “mimosa” and fur slides.

“We are the thrilled to partner with Gucci on this exclusive project, at a time when the House is so vibrant and influential in its designs. Alessandro and his team’s talents truly shine through with this unique capsule collection of iconic pieces, all of which we’re sure will be an instant success with our global customer.”

An integrated global marketing campaign will launch this partnership across Mr Porter’s social media, email, and website and app platforms. The collection will retail for $200-$3,350.
