Vegan handbag brand Gunas is stepping into footwear. The New York City-based company announced the launch of its first 100 percent vegan shoe line.
The line, which can be pre-ordered on Gunas’ website, is manufactured by an all vegan owner and operation artisan studio in India. The collection includes bow-accented ballet flats, quilted loafers and mixed media low wedges in classic colorways that complement the brand’s handbag range. Shoes retail for $125-$145.
Sugandh G. Agrawal launched Gunas in 2009 as vegan handbag brand with styles spanning totes, satchels and cross-body bags to trendy purses and backpacks. In a press release, Gunas said the brand has seen strong interest for footwear from the vegan and vegetarian community.
Agrawal added, “My ultimate goal is to see the #gunasgirldressed head to toe in our 100 percent cruelty-free designs.”
