Hari Mari’s New Collection Honors a Baseball Tradition

Two Texan brands are teaming up to create an all-American collection of sandals this spring.

Hari Mari announced Tuesday that it is collaborating with baseball glove manufacturer, Nokona, to design a three-piece collection of leather flip flops. The limited-edition line launched on Tuesday, just ahead of Major League’s Baseball Opening Weekend.

Nokona’s leather is known for quality and durability, making it a perfect fit for the flip flop brand. Each men’s sandal is covered with Nokona’s premium top-grain American Ball Glove leather. Shoes retail for $110 and are available in chocolate, tan and sandstone.

“It’s not every day you get the opportunity to partner with an 82-year-old heritage baseball brand,” said Hari Mari Founder Jeremy Stewart. “We’re ecstatic, to say the least, to fuse Nokona’s American top-grain leather with our great flip flop, making what we feel is the softest leather flip flop ever. A perfect footwear complement for taking in a game at the ballpark this spring.”

Hari Mari enlisted the help of All-Star pitcher Cole Hamels to help debut the collection. Hamels is donating proceeds from his spokesperson role to his charitable organization, The Hamels Foundation, which helps fund educational programs for children across the U.S. and Africa.

“I love baseball and I love flip flops, so does my family, and when the net result is supporting a great product in the Hari Mari – Nokona collaboration, it makes for a fun sidebar from the game,” Hamels said in a statement.
