The retailer has seen a rough few months, having launched its e-commerce site amidst plummeting stocks in July. But now, Hibbett looks to gain traction via social media, a resource proven to drive sales for many brands.
“We are always looking for innovative ways to engage with our social media followers and having them share their favorite sneaker images on social channels, is a fun way for us to connect,” said Sarah Sharp-Wangaard, Hibbett VP of marketing.
The social media contest requires participants to post photos to Instagram and Twitter, showing how and where Hibbett shoppers wear their favorite shoes. To participate, followers need to tag @HibbettSports and use two hashtags, #StylesbyHibbett and #MySneakersTakeMe. Each post using the above criteria is an automatic entry into the contest.
One winner will be announced every Friday while the contest lasts, and will receive a $250 Hibbett Sports gift card. Two winners will be chosen from Instagram and two from Twitter.
