IOFIT, the smart shoe from Samsung spin-off Salted Venture, continues to win accolades.
The golf shoe, with sensors embedded in the sole that tracks and analyzes the wearers balance, form, and technique, received the ISPO 2017 Gold Winner Award last week at the Munich-based trade show.
The shoes deliver real-time data to a compatible smart phone app to help maximize performance and training. The data and app also delivers coaching tips, making the experience even more interactive.
The award is ISPO’s quality seal for top-notch new products. The award is broken down into five categories for the sporting goods market, including action, outdoor, ski, performance and health and fitness.
In August 2016, IOFIT successfully funded over 300 percent of its goal on crowdfunding campaign and have won various awards, including 2017 CES Innovation Award. The company was established in 2015 with a mission to create smart shoes that empower people to improve physical training, performance and health.
