The fashion label partnered with ABEO biomechanical footwear, a division of The Walking Company, for a men’s collection of casual footwear featuring the customized support of ABEO B.I.O. system of built-in orthotics.
The comfort-meets-fashion shoes offer classic Kenneth Cole uppers, with an added sneaker-like fit and feel that falls in line with the ongoing athleisure craze. Shoes feature luxurious leather uppers, shock-absorbing rubber outsoles and moisture-wicking lining.
“We’re excited to announce this new partnership to offer customers an innovative collection unlike any before where they can enjoy the significant benefits of improved biomechanics with tailored style for a new definition of customized all-day comfort,” said Mike Grenley, The Walking Company chief operating officer.
“ABEO and Kenneth Cole have shared a vision of uncompromised style and comfort, and the result of this collaboration is an outstanding product with versatility,” said Gret Tarbell, president of Kenneth Cole men’s footwear. “We are excited about this partnership with The Walking Company and the opportunity to expand into an entirely new area of distribution by launching this collection with an assortment including loafers and sneakers that will be updated in the upcoming seasons.”
The stores that sell the shoes also come equipped with state-of-the-art digital scan technology which helps customers find the perfect 3D customized fit, factoring in arch and foot type. The collection retails for $149.95-$184.95 exclusively in select The Walking Company stores, as well as online.
For women wanting their own fashionable comfort-shoes, the women’s ABEO B.I.O. system by Kenneth Cole sandal collection, along with additional men’s styles, will be in stores and online Spring 2017.
