Kids Foot Locker teamed up with six families with a passion for sneaker culture for the company’s latest seven-part video campaign in time for the back-to-school season.
The new series, titled Generations, focuses on the relationships between adults and children in New York and Los Angeles all with one thing in common: their love of sneakers.
“Sneaker culture is a common interest for so many people, from young to old and everyday families to stars like Teyana Taylor,” said Chris Santaella, VP and GM for Kids Foot Locker. “Kids Foot Locker knows the back-to-school time period is one of the most critical times of year for parents and kids to share in this bond, and we make sure Kids Foot Locker offers the hottest sneakers, apparel and accessories to support that.”
The first video features actress and dancer Teyana Taylor, speaking to a group of young girls about her journey, where she finds inspiration and how growing up in Harlem helped sway her love for sneakers. “I always knew I had a thing for sneakers,” Taylor quipped in the short video.
MOFILM created the Generations series, which plans on dropping one video a week for the next six weeks.
“I’m thrilled any time I have the opportunity to interact with and inspire young girls. Passing on my knowledge and sharing common bonds is so critical to the next generation’s success,” said Taylor. “Kids Foot Locker knows that one generation inspires the next, and sneaker culture is a huge part of that. My daughter Junie already loves fashion and her Reebok Classics, just like her mom.”
