Two Ten Footwear Foundation is making good on its part to support and recognize women in the footwear industry. The foundation announced Thursday it has elected UBM Advanstar President of Footwear Leslie Gallin and Louise Camuto, chief creative officer of Camuto Group, to its board of directors.
As chief creative officer of Camuto Group, the company she co-founded with her late husband Vince Camuto, Louise Camuto has helped to diversify the company by acquiring licenses and patterns, building new brands and transforming Camuto Group into a global business.
Gallin oversees UBM Advanstar’s footwear trade shows, including FN Platform, which she played an instrumental role in launching in 2010. Prior to joining the company, she was director of The Collections at the World Shoe Association and Sole Commerce.
In a release, Diane Sullivan, Caleres CEO, president and chairman, and vice chair of the Two Ten board of directors, said, “Our industry will benefit so much from the addition of Louise and Leslie to the Two Ten Board.” She added, “Both bring a wealth of knowledge to the organization and leadership that will help guide us in finding more ways serve the footwear community. We look forward to their contributions – we know they’ll be fantastic.”
Two Ten Footwear Foundation is a national charitable foundation focused bettering the lives of the footwear industry’s workforce by offering emergency financial assistance, scholarships, counseling services and community building programs.
