Merrell Announces Ambassador Team for 2016

Outdoor footwear brand Merrell announced a roster of eight brand ambassadors of various sport, artistic and travel backgrounds who will serve as part of the company’s 2016 Global Ambassador Team.

Including leaders in the worlds of trail running, multi-sport outdoor athletics, photography and travel, all epitomize their love for the outdoors through their work. Bringing these unique perspectives, the ambassadors will work with Merrell to bring the brand’s new platform ‘Do What’s Natural’ to life through a new year-long campaign.

“When we were building our team, we knew we wanted our ambassadors to be inspirations for getting outdoors and doing what’s natural to excite people to live their passions,” said Leslie Rasmussen, marketing specialist for the Global Ambassador Team. “Our 2016 Global Team truly follows their own path and that’s what makes them special.”

As part of the partnership, the Global Ambassador Team has already started collaborating with the Merrell product development team to test and help develop future footwear and apparel.

The 2016 Merrell Global Ambassador Team includes: American mountain runner Joseph Gray, ultra trail runner Mirna Valerio, Canadian extreme outdoor athlete Simon Donato, French extreme athlete Matthias Giraud, adventurers and authors Justin and Adam Fricke, One Women Empowered Founder Asma Fatehi, and photographer and outdoor activist Mina Young Lee.
