Neiman Marcus Drops Ivanka Trump’s Line

Ivanka Trump did not have a good Friday.

Neiman Marcus is the latest big-time retailer to drop Trump, Racked reported Friday. Realized shortly after Nordstrom dropped Trump’s footwear line, people took notice that Trump’s jewelry line sold at Neiman Marcus no longer appeared on the website.

Despite having resigned from her roll in her eponymous label, the daughter of President Trump remains at the forefront of the news as her labels, owned by G-III Apparel and Marc Fischer, continue to get the axe from big-time department stores.

“Neiman Marcus has a very small Ivanka Trump precious jewelry business which is comprised 100 percent of consigned merchandise (merchandise owned by the vendor),” A Neiman Marcus representative said in a statement. “Based on productivity we continuously assess whether our brands are carried in stores, on our website, or both.”

As the third company to drop a category of her brand, coming after Nordstrom and Shoes.com before it went out of business, Neiman Marcus bolsters activists’ beliefs that they take credit, due to the #GrabYourWallet campaign urging shoppers to avoid retailers selling Trump products.

Activists and shoppers anxiously await the name of the next retailer to drop Trump.
