Creative Recreation’s Collaboration with Nick Jonas Drops This Weekend

One Jonas Brother has another solo act–this time as a sneaker designer thanks to his new gig with L.A.-based brand Creative Recreation.

Following the likes of fellow pop-star Zayn Malik’s collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti, Jonas has teamed up with Creative Recreation through his new unisex capsule collection called 1410. The collection drops Feb. 11 online and in select retailers.

Named 1410 for NJ, the fourteenth and tenth letters in the alphabet for the singer’s name and the state where he grew up, the collection features four athletic silhouettes.

“As I continue to grow as an artist, my goal is to also expand my creative horizon and partnering with Creative Recreation was an exciting next step,” Jonas said. “Designing a shoe that really shows my personality and captures my own personal style is really special. I hope that people are able to bring their own unique style to each one of the pieces in the line and give it their own touch.”

The line includes the low-top Deross in white vapor and the Carda, which comes in military grey, yellow and white. The Carda Hi, available exclusively in men’s sizes, features a special black leather upper. The Castucci offers a sportier look in black.

“There’s something to be said about an artist who is hands-on with the creative process,” said James Hansen, Creative Recreation senior design director. “Nick was easy to work with and had a great eye for detail that really helped pull the final collection together. It was a seamless design process, and we’re excited to finally give the public a chance to experience Nick’s vision.”
