Outdoor boot brands Danner and Filson team up to create the Filson x Danner Grouse boot, merging design aspects from two major Pacific Northwest outdoor brands in one boot.

The original Grouse boot, one of Danner’s signature hunting boots made in the company’s Portland, Ore. factory, serves as the inspiration for the duo’s creation.

The Filson x Danner Grouse boot features some of the best aspects of design from both brands, including Danner’s full-grain leather and unique stitch down construction and Filson’s signature durable waxed Tin Cloth on the shoe’s side panels.

“Due to our deeply similar history and a continued dedication to producing the best quality gear, the collaboration between Filson and Danner is an obvious fit, with Danner being the true experts in footwear built for the field,” said Andreas Herr, Filson marketing director.

The waterproof boot also features a Gore-Tex lining and Vibram Sierra outsole, and is co-branded with Danner and Filson logos on the boot’s tongue.

“When I think of iconic Pacific Northwest brands, Filson is at the top of that list,” said Will Pennartz, Danner senior marketing manager. “With only 375 pairs available, this limited-edition collaboration celebrates two legendary brands and a shared commitment to building premium goods here in the United States. We’re proud to feature the Danner and Filson names side by side on this boot.”

The boot sells for $390 on both brand’s websites.
