Palladium is giving consumers something to smile about this summer.
The military-inspired boot brand, celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, has teamed up with Smiley (a.k.a. the world’s happiest brand) for their 45th anniversary to create a unisex collection of festival footwear.
The collection features Palladium’s signature Pampa Hi, refreshed in Smiley’s trademark yellow and black. The boots are equipped with a removable zip pocket that serves as a hands-free carryall for festival essentials like earplugs, stickers and a mini bottle opener—a nod to the brands’ music heritage.
“We are excited about this collaboration as it brings together two brands deeply rooted in music, especially in the early grunge scenes. Both Palladium and Smiley have had a big impact in music for decades and we hope to continue to showcase our influence with this capsule,” said Smiley CEO Nicolas Loufrani.
The men’s and women’s boots, which will retail for $115, will be available for pre-release online at Palladiumboots.com and at better Palladium retails starting in June 2017.
