Patagonia and Polartec Boycott Outdoor Retailer Show

Patagonia and Polartec are withdrawing from Outdoor Retailer for an environmental cause.

Both companies said they will not attend the outdoor gear exhibition in July 2017 in protest over Utah’s recent public land policy and are urging other retailers to advocate for better national forest conservation.

On Feb. 3, Utah Gov. Gary Herbert signed a document that encouraged the Trump Administration to rescind the Bears Ears National Monument designation. Patagonia was disappointed over the decision and called out Gov. Herbert and state officials for not caring about public lands conservation.
