Apparel and accessories licensing company Perry Ellis International Inc. announced Tuesday it has entered into two license agreements with BBC International LLC. The agreements are for the design, production and distribution of An Original Penguin by Munsingwear men’s, boys’ and layette footwear.
Executive Chairman of Perry Ellis International, George Feldenkreis, relayed the company’s excitement towards working with BBC International, stating that BBC International is a leading manufacturer of footwear, making the partnership and optimal collaboration.
“Working with BBC International will not only leverage the equity of this powerful brand but also continue our strategic initiative to expand our global reach,” said Feldenkreis.
The Original Penguin by Munsingwear collection pays tribute to the brand’s extensive heritage, while showing various influences of humor and music. The collection shows off the brand’s mid-century classics with more modern, seasonal updates.
The footwear will launch in department and specialty stores in North and South America starting Spring 2017.
