Pikolinos Plays Up Texture for Fall

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

From fur to embroidery, texture is having a moment in fashion.

Pikolinos integrates both in its Fall ’17 collection of man-tailored styles for women.

For fall, the Spanish brand elevates classic leather pumps with covered heels embellished with monochromatic floral embroidery. The result is a subtle yet high-end look. Kiltie loafers are burnished and topped off with gold chain hardware. Cap-toe oxfords feature exaggerated eyelets, velvet laces and striped block heels.

The brand carries that same bold heel to a line of sleek ankle boots. Stacked heeled hikers are winterized with faux fur tongues, while classic city hikers featured quilted uppers for a plush feel.
