The Camaro Gets Its Own Driving Shoe

Driving shoe brand Piloti has teamed up with lifestyle brand New Era Cap to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Camaro.

The Camaro serves as the inspiration for the limited-edition collection, which features caps as well as driving shoes, made from premium Italian leather and featuring patented Roll Control Heel Technology, and their classic vintage racing tire-inspired tread pattern.

“Camaro is a hallmark of great design and performance, the attributes behind every pair of Piloti driving shoes,” said Michelle Massicotte, Piloti managing director. “Piloti is honored to be a part of the Chevrolet Camaro 50th anniversary celebrations, and look forward to introducing the ‘Camaro Fifty’ driving shoe to fans of this legendary car.”

The limited-edition shoes will be available this fall, online and at specialty retailers. Only 600 pairs of the Camaro Fifty driving shoe will be produced.

The car’s 50th-anniversary celebrations include events, car shows, plant celebrations and licensed merchandise set to roll out through 2017.

“To celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of history’s most iconic cars, we created the most epic Camaro yet,” said Camaro Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser. “The 50th Anniversary Edition honors the distinctive looks and performance that have always set the Camaro apart. It is available in both Coupe and Convertible 2LT and 2SS models.”

The shoes retail for $130-$240.
