Fast fashion retailer Primark said on Monday that it has recalled a men’s flip-flop over concerns that they may contain dangerous levels of a cancer-causing chemical.

According to the BBC, Primark found the chemical following an inquiry by a third party. “We have found levels of a restricted substance in the product in excess of the 1.0 mg/kg requirement,” Primark stated on its website.

“We take the safety of our customers, and the quality of our products, very seriously, which is why we have chosen to recall three men’s flip flops from our Cedar Wood State range. All new orders with this factory have been suspended while we carry out a thorough investigation,” the company said in a statement.

The blue, black and khaki flip-flops were sold from January 4 to June 2. A spokesperson noted that the recall does not affect U.S. stores as the product was on sale in the UK and Northern Europe. A full refund is being offered to all customers.
