Project Expands in Vegas Alongside Mrket

Following the run of Project and Mrket tradeshows in New York City, Project is set to hit Las Vegas this month with more educational chats and new tech-focused experiences on an expanded show floor.

Opening at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on Aug. 15 and running through Aug. 17, this year Project Las Vegas promises to offer exhibitors, retailers and buyers new, interactive components that provide insight into the future of fashion and wholesale industries.

One example will be partnering with WGSN in conjunction with DeSL, a Fashion PLM and Augmented Reality service. Together, WGSN and DeSL will invite guests to immerse themselves in six holographic experiences, juxtaposing their real-world environments with virtual Spring ’17 menswear trends.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with WGSN to explore upcoming trends and visualizing them through The Edit. Along with all the exciting new and returning brands in Project and The Tents, we are happy to also launch a new initiative with its own area on the show floor, P1V0T, which will highlight technology companies focused on solving the pain points of the fashion industry,” said Erik Ulin, President of Men’s Fashion at UBM.

Along with these new components, this year Project, The Tents, Project Womens, Curvenv, The Collective, and Pooltradeshow will all run simultaneously under one roof. With a single show badge, guests will have access to all shows under the Magic umbrella for an all-encompassing shopping experience.
