QVC’s annual fundraising event, FFANY Shoes on Sale, will award television chef Sandra Lee with the Jodi Fisher Humanitarian Award for her contribution to breast cancer awareness.
Lee will receive her award at the Oct. 25 gala, to be hosted at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. The award is being presented to Lee for her contribution in the fight against breast cancer as a survivor of who shared her experience and raised awareness about the disease on a national level.
“We believe Sandra has exemplified incredible strength and courage in her personal battle and by honoring her it will give people faced with this illness hope, while bringing us all closer to finding a cure,” said FFANY President Ron Fromm.
“FFANY Shoes on Sale” is a live, three-hour charitable event supported by the Fashion Footwear Association of New York where donated shoes are sold to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. Approximately 180 different styles of shoes will be auctioned off during the broadcast at half of their typical retail price. The telethon event will air on live on QVC from 6-9 PM Eastern time.
