Heritage boot brand Red Wing celebrated the opening of its first store in Malaysia, widening its footprint in Southeast Asia.
The store, located in a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur, offers the brand’s full head-to-toe PPE offering, including protective footwear that meets or exceeds standards such as EN ISO and ASTM. The store will offer Vasque, Red Wing’s product line of performance hiking boots and shoes, and its Heritage collection of handcrafted work-inspired lifestyle footwear.
In addition to one-on-one assistance from Red Wing employees familiar with the needs of each customer’s work environment and purpose, visitors can take advantage foot-scanning technology, which quickly identifies an individual’s unique arch type, foot size and pressure points.
The new store is a result of Red Wing’s longstanding collaboration with Leeden National Oxygen Ltd (Leeden NOX), a distributor partner for over four decades. While the store opening marks the first Red Wing brick-and-mortar store in Malaysia, the two companies have successfully opened and sustained stores in Singapore.
The Red Wing, Minn.-based company is in expansion mode at home and abroad. Red Wing reports that it opens a new U.S. store approximately every eight days. To facilitate growth, the company has offices and distribution centers in the United States, United Arab Emirates, Scotland, Norway and the Netherlands.
