Reebok Releases Stranger Things–Inspired Shoes

Reebok teams up with Sony Pictures Consumer Products and Netflix to reintroduce Reebok’s Ex-O-Fit Hi with exclusive Ghostbusters designs, as seen in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things.

Stranger Things producers, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, and the Ghost Corps on the show’s Ghostbusters story line pooled their efforts to create a backstory for the classic Reebok sneakers.

“We’re thrilled to have collaborated with the Stranger Things team, and are so excited to team with Reebok and Bait to make Dustin’s customized Ex-O-Fit Hi a reality,” said Jamie Stevens, EVP Sony Pictures Worldwide Consumer Products. The story the team put together focuses on Stranger Things character Dustin as a Ghostbusters superfan, having drawn on his Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi to show off some of his love for the film.

The shoes feature the signature Ghostbusters logo, as well as “No Ghosts” written across the upper.

“Eighties nostalgia is running at a fever pitch, and excitement and fondness for the classic Ghostbusters seem to grow every year,” said Ivan Reitman, director and producer of the 1984 film Ghostbusters and partner of Ghost Corps. “It makes total sense that in the fall of 1984, Dustin and his friends would be nuts for Ghostbusters.”

The shoes are available exclusively at Bait retailers worldwide this month, then at premium sneaker stores worldwide, including Reebok stores and online for $130.
