Rockport Group Moves Global HQ

Rivet's 2020 Denim Circularity report takes a deep dive into how the global denim industry is plotting its circular future amidst a worldwide pandemic.

The Rockport Group, parent company of brands like Aravon, Dunham and Rockport, announced a new location for the company’s global headquarters. The company moved from the Canton, Mass. area to West Newton in the city of Newton, Mass. Both locations are within 30 miles of Boston.

“We are excited to call Newton the home of The Rockport Group’s new global headquarters. We were founded in Massachusetts in 1971 and are proud to continue our legacy in the greater Boston area,” said Bob Infantino, Rockport Group president and CEO. “Our head office is a hub for our employees around the world across all three of our brands… and our heritage and commitment to the art of shoemaking is reflected in our new space.”

Baker Design Group, a Boston-based architectural firm, renovated the space to fit the company’s New England roots. Highlights from the design include industrial-themed staircases, exposed brick, a main lounge and open-concept cafeteria. Infantino, along with Newton Mayor Setti Warren celebrated the opening of the new headquarters on Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“We are very glad to welcome The Rockport Group to Newton. Our unique village centers, supportive community, and easy access to Boston create an environment where businesses can thrive,” Warren said. “Rockport is an exciting addition to our vibrant and diverse business community. I’m excited to see how they continue to grow and succeed here.”
