Sakroots Appoints New CMO, Creative Director

The Sak Brand Group has announced it has made two new appointments to its executive ranks in order to better help the company with planned international expansion.

Aaron Duncan, formerly of Mattel Inc., will serve as chief marketing officer of The Sak Brand Group and Creative Director of Sakroots. Jeff Feldman, who was most recently at Beats by Dr. Dre, will be responsible for global sales and merchandising for the Sakroots brand.

During his time with Mattel, Duncan led global strategic direction and business development for brands including Barbie and Hot Wheels in licensed apparel while assessing new international market opportunities. Duncan has a list of credentials that include, Playboy Enterprises Inc., G2000 Apparel, J. Crew, Inc. and Saks Fifth Avenue.

The Sak Brand Group is in the midst of repositioning its brands. All footwear has been merged under the millennial-centric Saksroots label, which has recently expanded into niche lifestyle categories including surf and outdoor. The company has also launched an elevated collection of The Sak handbags for limited distribution.
