Florida-based footwear company Shoes for Crews has announced it has filed a letter of intent to acquire the Mozo Shoes brand, makers of slip-resistant culinary footwear.
Shoes for Crews (SFC) says Mozo’s culinary footwear will complement its existing portfolio of athletic, casual, dress and work shoes. Mozo, founded in 2008, will reportedly be maintained as a separate brand and will be sold through SFC’s existing channels of distribution. The parties say expect the transaction to close sometime this summer.
“The Mozo brand is known within culinary circles for premium, stylish, comfortable and slip-resistant footwear crafted especially for culinary professionals,” said Stuart Jenkins, president and CEO of Shoes for Crews. “We are delighted to be able to offer the full Mozo line to our customers through our multiple distribution channels, including corporate programs, catalog, e-commerce, retail stores and international platforms. We will maintain the Mozo brand, design ethos and product line while further enhancing its safety performance by applying SFC’s industry-best slip resistant outsole technology.”
