Skechers Launches Lifestyle and Performance Collection

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

Skechers launched a new collection of women’s lifestyle and performance shoes Monday, called You by Skechers, targeting the athletic woman on the go.

The line incorporates technology and innovations from Skechers’ Performance division and fuses that with lifestyle and wellness.

“The You collection is an exciting crossover between our lifestyle lines and performance, and really speaks to the way the modern, busy woman is living her life,” said Kathy Kartalis, Skechers senior vice president of global product. “[The collection] meets the lifestyle and wellness needs of the self-aware woman searching for more balance in her life.”

The brand enlists the help of four healthy-living ambassadors: Koya Webb, a fitness model, former track star and vegan advocate; Danette May, a fitness star and social media influencer; Sofia Jaffe, a superfood guru and yoga-lover; and New York Pilates expert Katie Yip. The four influencers will post about You by Skechers on their individual social media channels, and show how they incorporate the collection into their everyday lives.

“We’ve seen an explosion in the desire for lightweight wellness footwear in the athleisure marketplace,” said Michael Greenberg, Skechers president. “We expect this versatile collection to resonate strongly with active women across multiple demographics.”

The collection is available now online, in Skechers stores and in select retailers, and more styles and colors will be available in the coming months.
