Sneakers4Funds announced the appointment of Heather Hackett to the new position of vice president and general manager, Active.
Sneakers4Funds, a subset of Funds2Orgs, is an organization that partners with schools, sports teams and other organizations to collect athletic shoes to help groups raise money for those in need, and make a world-wide impact.
“Our entire team is excited to have Heather join us as we continue to grow our brands exponentially. Heather brings her energy and knowledge of the adult and youth sports market to Sneakers4Funds. She also brings experience with public and private partnerships and community engagement events, which is critical to our work,” said Wayne Elsey, founder & CEO, Elsey Enterprises, which includes Sneakers4Funds and Funds2Orgs. “The experience will be particularly helpful as we continue to gain market share and demonstrate that our customer support, resources, and innovation are dominant in the fundraising industry.”
The shoes collected through Sneakers4Funds becomes inventory for micro-entrepreneurs in developing countries.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join Sneakers4Funds and lead the efforts to grow and develop the brand. I believe that schools, sports teams, mud run groups and others will find that the three-part success formula—collect athletic shoes and raise money, help people in developing nations with sneakers and trainers, and support the environment—are a potent blueprint,” said Hackett. “This type of fundraising is unique, creative and exciting and helps all of our partners engage with their supporters and their broader communities in a fun, fresh and dynamic way.”
