Superfeet Debuts Customized Recovery Slides

Superfeet announced the Spring ’18 launch of customized recovery slides, ME3D Recover. The men’s and women’s slides are made with FitStation powered by HP, an end-to-end solution that provides individual off-the-shelf shoe and insole recommendations and 3-D printed insoles.

The same technology is used to make Brooks Running’s new line of customized running shoes.

For the ME3D Recover, Superfeet combines its proprietary SYNCRO Recovery Foam with the data collected with the FitStation platform to calibrate customized comfort zones that respond to the way individuals moves. FitStation captures 3-D scans of the foot, foot pressure measurements and gait analysis to create a profile of each foot. It then interprets the data to create individualized products.

The result is a slide that offers cushion, support and maximizes recovery by minimizing the work the runners’ bodies encounter between runs.

“For too long recovery has been a one-size-fits-all solution for runners of different shapes, sizes and abilities,” said Eric Hayes, Superfeet chief marketing officer. “We are reimagining the way the industry approaches recovery. In addition to creating the most individualized fit solutions on the planet, FitStation also allows us to push the boundaries of what is possible with footwear manufacturing. This is just the beginning of a major shift in how consumers will experience shape and fit,” he added.
