Tamaris Debuts New Insole Technology for Heel Lovers

Tamaris believes it has the answer to the age-old question of what makes a heel comfortable.

For Fall ’17, the German footwear brand is strutting out Heart & Sole, an insole with patented comfort technology developed with the help of orthopedic engineers.

“We want to let every woman feel sexy and feminine in high heels without experiencing discomfort,” said Ellen Haselaars, Tamaris innovation manager. “All they need is the right insole in their shoes.”

Haselaars worked with orthopaedists to identify three areas of the sole that stop any pressure points from being a burden on the foot. The first area eases pain in the ball of the foot where most women feel pressure. The second point supports the natural arch of the foot, and the third area helps to spread the weight evenly across the high heels. The velour insole enhances comfort and flexibility.

The 17-piece collection spans shoes and booties with heel heights between 50-130mm. All Heart & Soles styles are distinguished by a bordeaux outsole and a golden heart with the monogram ‘H’&S’ beneath the sole.

Retailers can get a first look at the line and meet Haselaars at FFANY in New York City, Jan. 31-Feb. 2.
