Athleisure styling remains a key element in Trask’s collection for Spring ’18. The footwear brand aims to break free from the traditional men’s mold by introducing new silhouettes for spring that combine textured leather uppers with athletic influences.
At Project Sole in New York last week, Trask bowed the Arron silhouette, which pairs calfskin and steer uppers with sporty perforation and a sneaker outsole. The shoe is a solid representation of the brand’s attention to mixed materials and uncommon leathers, including elk, steer and bison. The brand also showed the Alex woven, a sneaker with a woven calfskin upper.
The sport-inspired loafer, the Sheldon, was a popular choice at the show. Trask brought back it popular footbed sandal, updating the silhouette with steer and bison uppers, new colors and prints, including orange and olive camouflage.
For Spring ’18, Trask introduces perforated suede and waterproof suede for the first time. The brand is also rolling out a new cushion insole for added comfort. Wholesale prices range from $74 to $132.
