Designers at GDS (Feb. 10-12) pulled inspiration from the prairie, but with accents like patchwork suede, equestrian buckles and cutouts, these Fall ’16 boots and oxfords are too chic to be left on the range.
Rugged and rustic details are adding a new twist to classic brown footwear. For men, leather shoes in rich shades of chestnut and cognac are burnished to vintage perfection. Work boots and hikers are modernized with sneaker bottoms for a younger consumer.
Women’s styles are more diverse, spanning artisanal with whipstitch and embroidery details and speckled outsoles to masculine with classic monk strap silhouettes, lace-up oxfords and burly hikers.
