Tommy Hilfiger, John Cato Honored by Dignity U Wear

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

Tommy Hilfiger and John Cato will be honored this month for their contributions to Dignity U Wear, the national organization that works with the apparel industry to provide clothing free of charge to disadvantaged children, soldiers and women in crisis.

Barbara Truncellito, Dignity U Wear executive director, said, “The Tommy Hilfiger company and the Cato Corporation have supported us financially and with major product donations over the years. We are pleased to recognize them at our annual gala for their generosity.”

Dignity U Wear will also honor three of their partner organizations: the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corp., The York Street Project and the Gary Sinise Foundation.

Truncellito said, “We also recognize three of our partner organizations for the work they do in supporting Americans in need and making a substantial difference in the lives of the neediest Americans.”

The 2015 Dignity Fall Gala will be held Oct. 15 at New York’s Metropolitan Pavilion.
