Ugg Gets a Designer Makeover from Phillip Lim

Join Sourcing Journal on March 13th HKT for Sourcing Summit Hong Kong for discussions on mending relationships between supply chain partners, remaking factories for smaller MOQs and faster turns, and creating resilience to survive the next inevitable crisis.

Designer Phillip Lim is tapping into his West Coast roots with a collaboration with Ugg.

The footwear brand announced it will launch a limited edition Fall ’17 collection of men’s boots with Lim under the designer’s label 3.1 Phillip Lim. The Ugg x 3.1 Phillip Lim collaboration will feature four silhouettes with prices starting at $250.

As a part of the capsule collection, Lim reimagined four of Ugg’s classic men’s styles, including the classic high, classic short, outdoor high and outdoor short. The boots will include plaid details, bright colors and zipper detailing.

“As a designer, I am constantly interested in exploring unexpected elements to create new aesthetic propositions,” Lim said in a statement. “The approach stemmed from my California roots and memories of wearing Ugg, a pure expression of unexpected fun and casual elegance.”

“Phillip Lim brings a fresh perspective to our men’s line, reimagining our iconic styles in a new way,” said Ugg Brand President Andrea O’Donnell. “This collection reflects his thoughtful craftsmanship in artful stitching and precise detail.”

The Ugg x 3.1 Phillip Lim line will be available on both brands’ websites and in select retail stores in Fall 2017.
